I am contacting you on the behalf of AIBILI – Association for Innovation and Biomedical Research on Light and Image, which is a private non-profit Research Technology Organization (RTO) in the health area dedicated to the development and clinical research of new products for medical therapy and diagnostic imaging (https://www.aibili.pt/).
We coordinate the DruSER.Net – Drug Safety and Effectiveness Research Network, which is a network composed by the Pharmacovigilance Unit of Coimbra, primary healthcare centres and hospitals in Portugal.
………….During the search for references that could be used to support the design of the protocol for our registry, we have found the START-Register (http://www.start-register.org/start2web/eng/). From what we have read (Antonucci E, et al. PLoS ONE 2015; 10(5):e0124719), the START-Register has the same objectives that we were about to pursue with our own registry.
………….we would like to know if it would be possible for us to participate in this registry, for example through the coordination of a Portuguese branch with recruitment of further physicians and patients for the study.
